What is it about blogs that make people take on grand illusions that they must go forth and do "something" - like cook every aspic in Julia Child's cookbook. No thank you. The idea of boiling cartilage over my stove is of no interest of me. Eating cartilage someone else has boiled over their stove - now that is a whole other story.
Too often what I eat is limited by where I am. So my quest is to try and eat the cuisine of every member state of the United Nations without ever leaving New York. My hope is that I will get to explore some other countries and cultures without ever leaving my backyard and hopefully pick up some new recipes along the way. I will be curious to see how "American" culture intermingles throughout. Will Sriracha show up in Austrian places?
So one caveat is I am not a expert on the food of the world. I am not 100% certain that what I eat will be "authentic" - rather I can only attest it is what is being served in New York as food from that country. So who knows what I will eat!
So here we go... dinner is brought to you by the letter A!
Anyone have any recommendations? :)
